Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs
Q: Is a DPC membership a substitute for insurance?
A: No. A DPC membership will cover most of your primary care, but will not cover visits to specialists, visits to the ER, hospital care, or surgeries.
Q: Do I still need health insurance?
A: Yes. We recommend everyone have a health insurance or health sharing plan. DPC pairs well with health sharing plans and high deductible insurance plans.
Q: Will Medicare pay for my DPC membership?
A: No. In order to be a patient at our DPC clinic, patients must sign a waiver explaining that we will not bill Medicare for any of our services. Patients can still use their Medicare benefits for labs, medications, specialists, hospital visits, etc.
Q: What is included with the monthly fee?
A: In-person visits, televisits, access to your doctor via phone, text, and email are all included. Many in-house tests and procedures are included as well.
Q: What ages do you see?
A: All ages are welcome. From newborn infants to their great-grandparents, we love to care for entire families and patients across the entire lifespan.
